We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Day Care Cook to join our team and help us achieve this goal. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious snacks and cold-pressed food for children and staff ensuring all meals meet health and safety standards.
- Develop and implement weekly menus that are balanced, appealing, and cater to the dietary needs of children and staff.
- Purchase and manage inventory of fresh ingredients, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective food supplies.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Work closely with daycare staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring all children and staff are well-catered for.
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory, meal plans, and kitchen expenses.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
- Strong culinary skills, with a focus on nutrition and healthy eating. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Passionate about cooking and nutrition, with a friendly and positive attitude. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
