The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
The Day Services Manager will facilitate community-based day services and support the development of innovative community development services for people with I/DD in Anne Arundel County. The Day Services Manager will ensure the development of quality, individualized community day activities by maximizing inclusive opportunities in the community with an Employment First focus. Key functions of this role include maintaining community partnerships related to volunteer and recreational activities, ensuring services are designed to be person-centered with individualized schedules for each person, and act as a key contact with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of effectively managing Direct Support Professionals, exercising good judgement, and working collaboratively in a diverse environment. The manager must also exercise initiative and think creatively in improving processes to drive results.
This role requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, as well as a minimum of (5) five years of working and supporting people with I/DD with at least two years facilitating services for people based in the community.
