Bachelor's Degree required in Human Services, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Recreational Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, or other related field. Preference given to individuals who have a degree or training in Recreational Therapy and/or experience working with diverse abilities and mental health conditions. Pass an extensive annual Caregiver background check. Have a current, clean driving record and pass a DOT driver's license record check.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:1. At least one year of supervision, as well as field related experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Oversee all day to day operations of Adult Day Services programming and staff activities.
- Provide direct supervision to Adult Day Services Aides:
- Participate in Interviewing and Hiring, as well as providing staff with performance feedback.
- Orient and train new staff to the Adult Day Services and Rehabilitation programs.
- Provide on-going training for Day Service employees.
- Work closely with the member and their parents/guardians, Care providers, and funding source agency personnel to provide optimal, individualized programming that meets the member's needs and desires.
- Create, review and update Day Service Member's Rehabilitation Member-Centered plans based off their Rehabilitation Intake Assessment.
- Assist Day Service Aides in implementing daily activities, based on a member's individualized Rehabilitation plan, that assist them with working towards their goals.
- Attend member's review meetings, as scheduled by the funding source or any other member of the team, to discuss member's progress in regards to their program goals.
- Provide effective coverage for the program to ensure activity groups and staffing needs are being met on a daily basis.
- Provide transportation, when necessary, to individuals or groups as a part of their programming needs.
