Day Shift Dining Room Host Team Member – Friday and Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm, Tuesday – Thursday 3:00pm – 8:00pm

Position located in Riggs Park / Ft. Totten neighborhood in Washington DC

Job Duties –

  • Responsible for the **Guest Experience **such as:
    • Greeting Guests as they enter our dining room
    • Sending guest off with a fond farewell
    • Conducting table touch ins to offer condiments or refresh beverages
    • Provide samples to guests to help promote products
    • Offer highchairs to guests with young children
    • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the dining room, restrooms, patio, parking lot and surrounding area of the restaurant

Cleaning responsibilities include the following:

* Clean and sanitize dining room and patio tables after guest departures* Sweep and mop floors to clear debris and maintain a clean appearance* Ensure bathroom mats are clean and replaced when needed* Ensure bathroom **frequently refreshed and properly stocked** with paper and other supplies* Ensure patio umbrellas are raised or lowered if inclement weather is pending* Ensure trash receptacles are routinely emptied* Breakdown boxes before being moved to recycle bins* Move trash and boxes from the staging area to dumpsters* Ensure trash and debris from the drive-thru and parking lot are removed* Ensure high chairs are kept sanitized and free of debris* Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are neatly organized and kept in good repair* Seeking out deep cleaning projects in slow periods

Additional responsibilities include:

* Is proactive about helping guest whether on register or front counter* During busy periods (or when requested) assists guest or 3rd Party deliver drivers at the front counter* Keep potted plants watered and looking fresh* Provide oversight of cleaning conducted by Team Members and ensure cleaning checklists are thoroughly completed* Assist in the enforcement of safety measures for both employees and guests* Other duties as assigned by FOH Director of Operations

**Qualifications – **

  • English fluency is required
  • Must have a source of reliable transportation
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to 8 hours, and reach across counter tops measuring 36 inches in length
  • A great teammate
  • Able to multitask and willing to give your best at all times
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

  • Thrives in challenging fast-paced work environment
  • Must be punctual and professional
  • Resilient - able to resolve setbacks
  • The team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Bilingual is a plus
