Job Type Full-timeDescriptionNorthwest Connections is looking for Mental Health Professionals who have a desire to support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Telephone Crisis Workers work collaboratively to assess mental health crises and to coordinate level of intervention needed. Crisis Workers work under WI statute and Administrative Code (particularly DHS 34 and Chapter 51).Primary Responsibilities: Answer crisis-related telephone calls, utilize crisis intervention skills to complete mental health and suicide risk assessments, provide outreach and support, information and referral. Successful candidates are independent, flexible, resilient and committed to providing optimal crisis services every time they answer the phone. Successful candidates also understand the importance of reliability when providing emergency mental health services. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain emotional stability and self-regulate in stressful situations.
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers and community partners.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the required software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Electronic Health Records.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, as well as follow oral and written directives.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and independent problem solving skills including the ability to organize and prioritize workload based on imminent need.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time (i.e. using computer to reference directives while gathering information from a person on the phone).
- Proven track record to work independently while utilizing internal chat systems.
- Remote workers must have their own computer system with high-speed internet along with a private area to work.
Location of Position: Work from home (must live in the state of WI)Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour; additional weekend shift differential of $2.65/hourShifts/Hours available: Days 6AM- 2PM; 7AM - 3PM; 8AM-4PM; 9AM-5PM. Full time employees work a minimum of two weekend shifts per month . All teammates are required to work 2 holiday shifts per year as we are open 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Benefits:

RequirementsEducational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a human services related program preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 year's experience in the mental health field. Consideration given to individuals who do not have a bachelor's with comparable working experience and skills.
