The primary responsibility of our DC Technicians will be field maintenance on DC Plant and single-phase UPS systems. This position requires basic electrical/electronic knowledge, and also the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. The ideal candidate should have either a 2-year degree in an electrical/electronics field of study, or at least 1-2 years of work experience in an electrical/electronics position. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility on work hours, as service sometimes must be performed on nights or weekends (and sometimes on very short notice when emergencies arise). This position will require up to 50% travel with overnight travel throughout mostly your territory but at times the whole U.S. They have a 2 hour response time in their customer contracts, so you will need to quickly respond when needed. Some of your responsibilities will be to perform Preventive Maintenance inspections on DC Plant and single-phase UPS systems.You will perform battery replacements (with the help of other technicians when weight and quantity of batteries warrants). As your skills develop, perform at least basic troubleshooting of equipment issues found during PM inspections or as reported by customers. You will also assist with other customer projects as time permits, i.e. equipment de-installations or deliveries. You must have at least a basic understanding of DC and AC power and know how to use basic electrical test instruments (i.e. a multi-meter). If hired they will bring you in to Terrell, TX for training for 2-3 weeks that they would like to start ASAP for training.Base will be $40 - $45k but with overtime this is a $60 - $65k position.
