College/Department Information
The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, we provide dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering hands-on education through innovative research, patient care, and service. Join other dental providers to improve the oral health of Georgia and beyond. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Georgia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. As a patient, you have the option to receive treatment in one of our three different practice models consisting of student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice. All dental treatments can be completed by the specialists in our facility. We also serve patients in more than 20 clinics across Georgia.
Job Summary
Serves as a team lead for EHR training and software upgrades and is responsible for directing the implementation and development of project plans. This position will also be the primary operational liaison between clinic stakeholders and the EHR in service for them and responsible for delegating the troubleshooting and resolving of EHR issues as they arise. The position requires superior communication and interpersonal skill with the ability to respond efficiently to complex EHR challenges.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages the development and implementation of components of the dental college's clinical information systems (axiUm, MiPACS, eRx, and Romexis).
Manages inter-departmental phases of the clinical systems to ensure that they are functioning and are properly aligned with the dental college's needs, goals, and reporting requirements.
Produces or oversees clinical information system-related reports and provides technical assistance in report generation as required.
Configures, manages, and implements user and role-based security for all dental college's clinical and non-clinical systems. Assigned Security Authority for DCG personnel in relation to AU Health clinical systems.
Creates and maintains a documentation library of the clinical information system environments, including settings, configurations, workflows, and change management/control processes.
Serves as the primary liaison with clinical information systems and supplementary vendors in troubleshooting, upgrading, training, enhancements, and associated functions.
Management of the dental college's patient notification and survey system (Intiveo) and administration of the dental college's interpretation services (Cyracom).
Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein. Assist with other projects as requested or assigned by dental administration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, IT, or Healthcare related field. Three years of relative experience in technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, IT, or Healthcare related field. Higher education experience. Dental knowledge. Five or more years of relative experience. Proficiency in Oracle, SQL, and Crystal Reports.

Pay Band: B11
Salary: Minimum $56,600/annual
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
