Job Type Full-timeDescriptionGoodwill Industries of the Columbia is seeking a DD Program Assistant to assist individuals with developmental disabilities through work alongside job training and employment readiness activities. This position assists program participants with the identification of job interests, skills, and barriers to success, and work with a team to develop innovative support strategies.What will you do in this job?
- Prepare program participants for community employment via hands-on job coaching and training, as well as other preparatory activities such as resume development, mock interviews, employer visits, etc.
- Provide ongoing behavior supports to further employment outcomes.
- Document work with individuals served, including extensive written plans, reports, and notes.
- Communicate and collaborate with support teams to ensure placement plans, goals, and targets are met.
- Provide excellent customer service, including maintenance of healthy relationships with participants, funders, vendors, transportation and residential providers, parents and guardians.
- Support individuals in new jobs through job coaching and retention services.
- Work closely with the Disability Services team to create and execute individualized employment plans, and to ensure placement plans, goals, and targets are being met.
Compensation and BenefitsStarting rate: $21 per hour followed by eligibility for annual performance based increases with maximum pay of $23.62. Highest pay as a result of ongoing good performance and years of service. Quoted with three years of experience at Goodwill.

- If 18 years or older, eligibility to participate in a Retirement Savings Plan (401k or Roth IRA) at the entry dates (January 1st or July 1st). Enrollment eligibility following one year of service and have worked 1,000 hours in the first year or any calendar year thereafter, or 500-1000 hours each year for three consecutive years.
Work Schedule:Full-time nonexempt position.
