Extensive experience in echocardiography studies in a hospital setting and experience with pediatric and neonatal echocardiography is preferred. Job Description: - Perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with appropriate skills in a timely and dependable manner consistent with current standards of care and departmental/hospital policy and procedure.- Accurately perform all echocardiogram studies ordered by physicians, including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography.- Perform other cardiac diagnostic studies as assigned, including EKG, Holter prep, monitoring and analysis, and Cardiac stress tests.- Utilize mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians, including echocardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors, and computer analysis.- Access hospital information systems for scheduling, processing, and correct charging of all studies.- Implement appropriate infection control practices and demonstrate a working knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.- Interact with students from contracted colleges and universities, providing preceptorship and clinical guidance per contracted agreements.- Demonstrate the ability to perform cardiac diagnostic tests following age-specific guidelines and procedures, specifically with neonatal and pediatric patients.- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
