Position Summary TMH's growth and success is dependent on a highly successful dealer network. The Dealer Development Manager is an integral member of the Dealer Development team that partners with the US and Canadian dealers to collectively achieve #1 in customer loyalty, market share, and profitability. The Dealer Development Manager will interact with the leadership team at the dealers and all of the departments at TMH and plays a key role in enhancing the overall working partnership and collaboration with the dealer network. This position will use strong analytical skills to identify dealer best practices and opportunities for improvement, as well as, work closely with the Dealer Development team to support the Dealer 360 review process to facilitate each dealer's growth, optimal performance, and success. The Dealer Development Team is focused on bringing value to the Dealers through a collaborative approach that includes learning, teaching, challenging, continuous improvement, and alignment. Essential Position Duties • Collaboratively work with the Dealer Development Team to identify, analyze, explain, recommend, and present ideas to support the 360 Dealer Review Process. • Work with the Dealers on special projects focused on specific growth areas identified during the 360 Review • Create the Dealer 360 reviews summary notes and related action items and lead the timely follow-up process with the Dealers and internal TMH Departments. • Proactively gather, track, and analyze a defined set of Dealer Performance KPI's or comparison data utilizing BMIS and other analytical tools and reports to identify Dealer trends, opportunities, and best practices and then make recommendations to utilize the research and findings. • Manage the Dealer Best Practices Process including leading Dealer focused Webinars and maintaining the best practices on the Dealer Portal for future reference • Develop and/or analyze an assortment of ad hoc reports, project tracking, special projects and dealer support programs that will identify and highlight potential opportunities, trends, targets, and recommendations. • Create and Maintain the Dealer Playbooks by engaging with internal departments and dealers to ensure that new Playbooks are being created and existing Playbooks are being updated as the business evolves and expectations change. • Assist with the preparation of annual goals, objectives, and budgets. Track, communicate, and provide written updates on status and accomplishments during the year utilizing the Hoshin Board and other tools. • Proactively work with the Dealer Development team and the TMH Field Teams to learn and provide support and resources to all areas of the dealer's business. • Gather and manage the Dealer 360 Feedback surveys and present results to the team - including recommendations for survey improvement and 360 content • Participate and/or lead special projects • Periodic travel at approximately 50% or as required • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner • Additional duties as assigned Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business with 5+ years of Equipment Dealership or Material Handling experience is preferred. 7+ years of experience within a Dealer Facing environment in lieu of a degree would be considered. • A first-hand working knowledge of an Equipment Dealership is preferred. • A documented history of bringing value to a Team of independent Dealers - this includes the ability to influence and partner in order to achieve / exceed annual goals. • Familiarization with Continuous Improvement, Plan/Do/Check/Act, and other Toyota concepts is a plus. • Ability to work with an internal cross-section of TMH Departments to coordinate and support TMH's overall goals • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to quickly identify issues and create documented, SMART action plans • Strong and documented analytical skills with the ability to gather data from several sources and highlight opportunities and recommendations in an effective and organized presentation • Adaptable and comfortable working with all levels of an organization • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong focus and attention to detail and accuracy • Able to adapt to changing work priorities and additional duties as assigned • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
