DescriptionCritz Mercedes Benz in Savannah, Ga has a service advisor position available.Service advisors are true professionals, warmly greeting clients for service appointments and determining their maintenance and repair needs.They sell additional work when appropriate and ensure a positive experience.
  • Actively listen to clients and their needs, and interpret body language and tone in order to exceed expectations.
  • Effectively communicate with service customers, ask questions, and test drive client cars to provide technicians with essential information.
  • Complete accurate walkarounds to record the condition of the client's vehicle upon arrival.
  • Advise customers on the care of their cars, show value in Mercedes-Benz recommended maintenance plan, and present the need for additional work when necessary.
This role involves handling telephone inquiries, returning phone, email, and text messages promptly, and reviewing work performed with clients. The service advisor ensures customer satisfaction after the sale by responding to any issues in a timely manner.We offer:

Please note that prior to employment, applicants must participate in Critz's normal screening process, including completing a full employment application and satisfactory background check and driving records checks.The ideal candidate will have a previous documented work history as a service advisor, a high school diploma or equivalent, and authorization to work in the USA for any employer.Responsibilities•Attitude is everything-greet service department customers promptly and courteously•Listen to each customer and articulate repair needs to techs•Upsell recommended/additional services using low-pressure, high-integrity methods•Provide accurate estimates of repair/maintenance costs•Adherence to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation•Follow up on each repair and keep customers informed of the progress•Sell and manage extended warranties•Inspect repair quality and ensure that all work is complete•Notify customers when vehicles are ready for pickup•Review and explain repairs and associated costs to customers•Handle minor customer concerns and complaints•Keep the Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems•Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores by dealership standards•Follow up after completed service appointments to ensure customers are satisfied with vehicle repairs•Organize all automotive documents, repair orders, invoices, and maintenance records•Relay relevant automotive technology and product knowledge to explain necessary repairs to customers scheduling service appointments•Oversee the schedule for service department technicians' repairs•Review and verify vehicle warranty protections and service contract coverage when developing cost estimates, work orders, and other paperwork related to necessary repairsQualificationsRequirements•Previous experience as a Service Advisor is preferred•CDK or similar DMS proficiency is preferred•Must have strong customer communication skills both in-person and on the phone•Strong organizational skills•Must be able to manage in a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision•Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies regarding the safeguarding of all customer, company, and manufacturer information, as well as customers' vehicles and property•Authorized to work in the USA•Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, Motor Vehicle Record Check, and drug screening•Must have a valid driver's license•A valid, state-issued driver's license and clean driving record is required•Must have problem-solving and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other fundamental programs•Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary•Prior experience in a service advisor role not required but is highly preferred•High school diploma or GED is mandatory
