POSITION TITLE: Dean/Fac/Student Support Spc COMPENSATION RANGE: 41,941.00 - 49,964.00 USD per year EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Professional Administrative DEPARTMENT: Dean Col Ed & Behav Sci Office TARGET HIRE DATE: 10/1/2024 BENEFITS: UNC's Career Hub To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by 11:59pm (MT) on 9/6/2024.Position Summary: Thisposition exists to support not only the academic units of the college, as theliaison to the College, the University, and to students and patrons; to carryout initiatives and responsibilities associated with the operations of thecollege; and to assist with the administration of the College, including supervisingstudent employees within the Dean's office and providing training support forstudent employees across units within the college. This position will serve asthe first contact for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to theDean's Office and will provide exceptional customer service to both the campuscommunity and visitors. The Dean and Associate Deans will be supported throughassistance management and tracking of awards and campus events, Dean's, facultyunits, ASC meetings support, and donor letters preparation. This position will beresponsible for event planning and will serve as conference room scheduler andbuilding coordinator. Job Duties: Professional and informed contact for the Dean's office reception support. 25%. Main point of contact for assisting students, faculty, staff, external stakeholders, and support for main office. Answer phones, manage EBS mail, mailroom, Dean's office email, and calendar. Assist in management of EBS SharePoint sites. Assistant to the Dean and Associate Deans. 25%. Organize and keep minutes for Leadership Council, Faculty/ Staff, or Dean's office meetings. Preparation of mailings including donor letters and administrative assistance to units. Assistance with management and tracking of awards and campus events. Collecting and archiving syllabi for all courses in EBS. Event Planning for CEBS. 20%. Assistance with reserving spaces, completing official function forms, and ordering food items/materials for events. Set up and cleanup of events. Coordinate with EBS Communication Specialist related to planned events. Honors Convocation and other events in EBS. Hiring, orientation and training of EBS student employees, and supervision of Dean's office student employees. 20%. Building coordination, attending to building requests or issues, working with campus facilities as needed. 5%. Other duties as required include but not limited to - conference room scheduling, and accreditation support. 5%. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in anoffice setting is required. Experience: Minimum: Four years of front-facing customer experience. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Understanding and/or experience of general clerical and administrative duties, computer technology and advanced software knowledge.
