Position Summary:American Roller Bearing is currently seeking Deburr Operator for its facility located in Hiddenite, NC working day shift (6:30am-2:30pm). A successful machine operator values safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Primary responsibilities as a machine operator would include: machine set-up, machine operation, including programming, machine adjustments, part measurement, troubleshooting, problem solving and teamwork. Essential Job Duties:Set up drill press to counter bore parts per instructions and procedures.Operate sander to remove rough edges from parts per instructions and procedures.Load parts in Sweco to remove rough edges per instructions and procedures.Blacken steel retainers per instructions and procedures.Monitor pre-process material conformance.Responsible for quality of product produced or task performed and advising supervisorof any quality problems.Responsible for completing production cards and inventory tickets and other data and/orpaperwork as required.Provide training to new employees working in deburr area.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Operate fork truck to move materials.Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Company safety policies.Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager. Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Skills:
- Must having working command of the English language and be able to communicate verbally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos, and instructions.)
- Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations (plus decimals and fractions), and use basic handheld measuring tools.
- Basic knowledge of machining procedures.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of Company policies. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently lift / push / pull objects that are up to 24 pounds. The use of a hoist is required for weight heavier than 24 pounds.
- Constant standing and walking to set up and observe machine operations
