Overview
The Deck Supervisor will assist in managing and coordinating incoming/outgoing boat shipments, cargo manifests, and deck locations for cargo, including interfacing with logistics coordinators to plan loadouts according to operational requirements and M/V schedule. The Deck Supervisor will also coordinate the off-loading and back-loading of M/Vs, working with company representatives and logistics coordinators to ensure that loadouts are prioritized and organized accordingly.
Responsibilities
* Direct and supervise crane operations and crane crews as instructed.
* Coordinate future equipment inventory needs to verify equipment is on the facility.
* Assist in keeping track of rental tools/equipment on the facility. Coordinate with representatives to verify all rental equipment is sent in when it is no longer needed.
* Verify all paperwork accompanies equipment entering/departing facility.
* Prepare permit paperwork where mutually agreed with company representatives and coordinate permitted work involving crane operations.
* Verify that cranes and rigging equipment are inspected, maintained and operated in compliance with OPS0055.
* Encourage and coach Deck Operators, Crane Operators and Roustabouts in the use of HSE processes.
* Encourage and coach Deck Operators, Crane Operators and Roustabouts in the application of OPS0055, including ensuring all crane crew positions comply with OPS0055 requirements.
* Stop any observed or reported unsafe crane operation.
* Work with HSSE leadership to ensure that all waste is managed appropriately, and documentation completed and submitted to appropriate parties. Documentation and activities includes completion and submission of PF1 form for determining unknown substances for proper disposal or disposition, in addition to adding appropriate placard and / or labelling to relevant cargo, Completion of UIC-28, and Norm testing.
* Participate and / or lead relevant meetings, including pre-tower meetings, and morning meetings
* Support lifting and hoisting discipline lead with adherence to OPS0055 and safe lifting practices.
* Wire rope inspection.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of offshore experience
* Rigger Certification
* Crane Certification
* Fluent both in spoken and written English
* Supervisory Experience
