Decorworx Project StrategistDescription A Decorworx Project Strategist will be responsible for overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered according to partner expectations, within scope, and billed for. This role will require close collaboration with our outside Sales team, Creative department, Estimator, Engineers, Manufacturing, Installation, and Finance teams. The Project Strategist will also act as a point of contact for existing partnerships, championing our partners' needs and building strong relationships based on successfully completing the work. Project Strategists will be essential members of the Operations team led by the Operations Officer. This is a full-time, on-site position in Cedar City, UtahQualifications
  • Proven experience in project management or account management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and keep a level head.
  • Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and technology as it relates to organizing and communicating about work in progress.
  • Not easily overwhelmed or stressed.
  • Extremely likable and positive disposition.
  • Superior dependability and initiative (work ethic).
  • Excited about problem-solving and thinking critically on behalf of our projects, functions and partnerships.
  • Ability and confidence to make informed decision and stand by those decisions (own them).
  • Proficient understanding of build materials and reading architectural drawings or engineering spec sheets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with functional teams, vendors and partners.
  • Mature emotional intelligence.
  • Strong desire to learn (growth mindset) and continually improve systems and processes for the greater good.
  • Available to answer urgent phone calls or text messages from partners or team members beyond the 8-5 work day, possibly nights and weekends.
Primary Responsibilities 1. Project Management
  • Attend weekly same page meetings with the Operations team to review timelines, forecast upcoming work, set priorities, and project revenue.
  • Participate in Sales and construction meetings about projects and develop relationships with our partners.
  • Continually pull work and project information from outside Sales representatives to regulate the company's workflow/pipeline.
  • Oversee and manage all sizes of projects for assigned accounts and/or territories from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with all departments across functions to ensure timelines are met, communication is clear, information stays organized, issues are addressed, problems are solved, and quality is exceptional.
  • Keep all project information and communication current in project tracking software.
  • Collaborate with Sales and the Estimator to build quotes and sales orders for projects using NetSuite.
  • Schedule and facilitate milestone meetings for large projects such as the Design/Build, Kick-Off, Pre-Mortem, and Post-Mortem.
  • Provide regular updates to Sales team members and/or partners regarding their work in progress and upcoming milestones.
  • Verify project completion and prompt the creation of invoices, deposit requests, and final billing from our Finance team.
  • Be prepared to answer any and all questions regarding work in progress for assigned accounts, regions and/or territories.
  • Complete site surveys, as assigned.
2. Account Management
  • Act as primary point of contact for established partner accounts within assigned regions or territories for one-off projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, understanding their specific needs and requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
3. Collaboration and Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with Sales team members to understand project requirements and ensure alignment between scope of work and results delivered.
  • Coordinate with Creative, Estimating, Engineering, Manufacturing, Installation, and Finance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders involved in the project, both internally and externally.
4. Quality Control and Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly inspect Creative solutions, Engineering spec sheets, completed product, and final deliverables (i.e. installation photos) to assess quality and provide feedback to function leaders.
  • Participate in ongoing company trainings and regularly review SOPs to stay relevant and informed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of necessary workflow evolutions.
