Position Summary: The Default Title Curative Specialist is responsible for facilitating clearance of various title defects as referred by our respective clients. In this role you will collaborate with clients, vendors, title companies, and internal departments to ensure timely processing of referrals and maintain client service level standards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: * Intake title curative referrals and evaluate same for accuracy & validity. Evaluation is inclusive of, but not limited to, examining title searches for vesting, liens & encumbrances, legal descriptions, etc. * Review all accessible information & documentation to formalize the most efficient and effective course of action to resolve title defects in accordance with investor guidelines. * Scope of curative work may involve, but not be limited to, filing of title insurance claims, curative litigation management, preparation of curative documentation to be filed/recorded, engagement of creditors/lienholders to secure lien releases, satisfaction pieces, etc. * Submit invoices for services rendered to clients. * Assists with other default title matters as needed. * Potential to assist with Default Foreclosure Title portfolio. * Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Qualifications Required: * High School Diploma or Equivalent required * 3+ years of title/curative/default mortgage servicing or financial company experience preferred. * 2+ years of Curative/REO/Foreclosure experience preferred. * Familiarity with BKFS LoanSphere FC/BK (LPS) platform preferred. * Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers. * Detail oriented * Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service * Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. * Knowledge of basic computer programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook
