Responsibilities Location: Wichita, KS (On-site) Key Accountabilities: Provides assistance in manufacturing and production processes Applies principles and practices typically associated with quality engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing engineering functions and coordinates with other support disciplines or core functions as required Develops quality and cost-effective methods, standards, and systems for production by applying production engineering principles Participates in technical research on proposed projects Offers guidance to manufacturing staff Qualifications Required Qualifications: 2-5+ years of related experience Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Security Clearance Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Trade School certificate Understanding of fabrication and/or assembly build processes and sequencing Experience in Continuous improvement and Manufacturing Support FSDA implementation 3DX capability Familiarity with drilling and welding hard metals Familiarity with composite processes and materials Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-based environment Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail Project Management experience Experience with MS Office Suite Experience with SAP Spirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
