Position Overview:

Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking a Delivery Assurance Manager. This role, through cooperative relationships with our suppliers and global Hanwha businesses, would proactively organize risk mitigation plans and perform business management tasks to achieve company goals and satisfy customer demand deadlines.

Location: Cheshire, CT

Reports to: Director, Global Procurement

Responsibilities:

* Understands Export License (ITAR & EAR) and manages the export license process in Hanwha Aerospace USA.

* Follows through to ensure on-time delivery of components, raw materials and outside processing.

* Cooperates with the suppliers located on the West Coast to resolve any issues of delivery and quality.

* Works collectively with business partners, suppliers, to create synergy between Hanwha Korea, Hanwha Vietnam, and Hanwha USA.

* Communicates and visits with suppliers in order to mitigate any potential risks and to monitor load/capacity at these suppliers.

* Negotiates with suppliers to reduce costs and lead time of purchased products and outside services.

* Maintains the information and network of suppliers' POC's.

* Interacts frequently with Purchasing and Program Management personnel in Korea and Vietnam.

* Conducts weekly conference calls with Korea (HAC) and Vietnam (HAV) buyers for critical issues.

* Performs various other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

* Participates in training as required.

* 50-75% Domestic /International Travel required.

* Some lifting, moving instrumentation, performing tests in various areas of the facility required.

* Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 20 lbs.

* Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility.

* Work is usually performed in a combination of office and plant settings.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Aerospace Industry.

* Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.

* Demonstrates strong understanding of Supply Chain Management within international settings.

* Strong understanding of components, raw materials and outside processing regarding the Aerospace business.

* Must be a US Person as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.

* Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.

* Demonstrates the ability to understand engineering drawings, bill of materials, and technical requirements in Aerospace Industry.

* Possesses a solid understanding of AS9100 and ISO-9000.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarization with ITAR and EAR requirement for exporting goods to South Korea.

* Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and bilingual with the Korean language preferred.
