Cloverland Dairy in Salisbury Maryland is looking for a Class A driver to deliver finished product to our customers, in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities
- Daily Pre/Post trips on all vehicles assigned.
- Picks up truck/tractor trailer at start of shift and verifies load.
- Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to each customer assigned while maintaining and following all DOT rules and regulations.
- Picks up and returns all empty cases/pallets that were left from previous delivery from each customer.
- Must be able to lift, pull, and drag a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use hand truck and/or power jack.
- Must provide good service and good customer relations.
- Must report all accidents, damages, complaints, or issues that may occur and is accountable for filling out all necessary reports.
- Must be able to use a hand-held device for making deliveries, must be able to make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate deliveries and accurate billing for our customers.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Must have a Class A CDL and pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Must have a clean driving record
- Driving experience - 1 year (preferred)
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of getting into and out of tractor or straight trucks numerous times over shift to secure load bars or straps
