Class A CDL Driver Position summary:Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck to transport and deliver equipment between manufacturing facilities and retail locations.Class A CDL Driver Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service/repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking to make sure vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Load outbound freight utilizing lift equipment.
- Perform material handling functions when not on deliveries.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Class A CDL Driver Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate),
- One year of commercial driving experience,
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License,
- Ability to meet DOT certification requirements,
- Satisfactory driving record
