We are looking to add a new addition to our team as a Full-Time DOT Delivery Driver in Rochester, NY!
A Delivery Driver DOT ensures that time sensitive products are delivered on time and in the proper condition. This person will be responsible for loads products onto vans before delivering orders to customers on predetermined routes. Except in the case of extenuating circumstances, drivers will always adhere exactly to the route and deliver each order on time and with a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with ICC and FMSCA regulations daily
- Transport freight from distribution to delivery site without error
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Completes Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Load and unload freight to and from vehicle using safety perimeters that are put into place
- Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
- Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Track and report working hours
- Responsible for counting and recording quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up to ensure accurate paperwork for customer transactions
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Provide a high standard of Customer Service while delivering goods to customers
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management
- Operate a cargo van and accurately perform local deliveries
- Operate a 26ft box truck for out-or-town deliveries
- Must be able to push/pull skids up to 1,000lbs
Schedule:
We are looking for a dedicated DOT Delivery Driver who can maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate our business's changing needs. Further details will be provided during the interview.
Pay: $18-$20 per hour
Requirements:
Skills Required:
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Use handheld device for routing information, customer delivery information
- Must be able to operate a cargo van and accurately perform local deliveries
- Must be able to operate a 26ft box truck for out-or-town deliveries
- Experience with power jacks, forklifts, manlifts, and scissor are preferred
Travel & Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 105 lbs
- Ability to push/pull skids up to 1,000lbs
- Exposure weather conditions with possible exposure to extreme hot and cold weather elements when outside or driving
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods
- Travel up to 20% if needed
- Out-of-town deliveries may result in overnight stays at a company paid hotel
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A current DOT medical card
- No more than 2 moving violations or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT drug test to meet FMSCA requirements preferred
- 1 year of delivery experience is preferred, but not required
Work Authorization:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future
