Ability to read and write English and communicate well, both orally and written. Good physical condition, i.e. / able to walk, stand, lift, operate equipment and stoop for long periods of time. Must be bonded, valid driver's license and clean driving record. Diplomatic, congenial manner; appropriate, well-groomed appearance. General maintenance knowledge, of repair and new installation of equipment (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, gas-fired equipment, etc.), and commercial restaurant equipment repair with minimum two years' experience. Ability to operate tools and equipment common to assigned areas. Other requirements as outlined by the Board and by Administration. Good physical condition with ability to lift 50 pounds REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Director JOB GOAL: Delivers necessary food, supplies and equipment to school sites as needed. Performs maintenance duties as required. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivers food items, supplies, correspondence and equipment to individual school sites as needed. Performs routine maintenance of dispensers, machines, and equipment (change out plugs, bulbs, switches, filters, etc.) Performs general kitchen maintenance requests, oversees all cafeteria equipment repairs. Responsible for seeing that the Child Nutrition van is cleaned and serviced as necessary. Maintains inventory, cleanliness and temperature log for central storage and Child Nutrition mezzanine. Help keep equipment and tools in safe operating condition. Performs duties in a safe manner to ensure the prevention of injury to self and to others. Complete work orders in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director. SALARY: Commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for classified positions for the 2024-2025 school year.
