Job Summary:The Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of vehicles and forklifts. This role involves providing training and performance evaluations for drivers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, load securement practices, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Delivery Manager ensures correct, complete and on-time delivery of material to customers.Supervisory Responsibilities:Driver Associates and CDL Driver AssociatesEssential Job Functions:
  • Develops schedules and procedures for and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all location vehicles and forklifts.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for drivers, focusing on safety protocols, company policies, and efficient driving practices.
  • Evaluate driver performance regularly, address issues promptly, and provide feedback to ensure high standards of service and compliance.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for the truck fleet to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan. Coordinate with maintenance providers and track service history.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections within Driveroo.
  • Oversee and review load securement practices to ensure that all loads are secured in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Educate drivers on proper load securement techniques and conduct regular checks to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor drivers' completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure all vehicles are in safe operating condition. Address any identified issues promptly.
  • Ensure all drivers and vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including hours of service, licensing, and safety standards.
  • Investigate and manage any accidents or incidents involving the fleet, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, addressing concerns, providing support, and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Arranges for emergency roadside repairs and tows.
  • Ensures Correct, Complete and On-time delivery of material to customers.
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure.
Experience
  • At lease on year related experience and at least on year of forklift experience preferred
  • CDL B w/ Air Endorsement Preferred
