Job Description: This position is responsible for analyzing and planning the most efficient delivery routes for day-to-day deliveries, nationwide. As a member of JASPER's centralized routing department, route specialists analyze the routes using TMW's Direct Route software and continuously improve the routing solutions to better meet customer expectations. This is accomplished by analytical thinking and daily communication with Operations Managers, Delivery Drivers, and Customers. Operating largely independently, each route specialist will look at all available data, orders, and resources to create the best possible route solution to maximize customer service and minimize miles driven. JASPER is very focused on route efficiency. Thus, each specialist will showcase their skills daily by coming up with the best possible solution for that day's deliveries and pickups. *This is a bench player/floater type position, which will give you the opportunity to learn other roles within the Routing and Branch Operations Team, including Auditing and Telecommunications. Key Responsibilities: As part of the training, there will be opportunities for two weeklong trips to one of our 51 branch locations around the country to better understand branch operations. You will get to spend time with a JASPER delivery driver to understand what they encounter during a normal day. The person we are looking to fill this role must have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced team environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, Direct Route or routing related programs is preferred. Once fully trained as the Route Delivery Specialist, there will be opportunities to train in other areas of Branch Operations and gain additional knowledge to support business needs.Skills we are looking for:
