DescriptionSmoky Mountain Deck Builders is seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver/Construction Assistant to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to haul off demolition materials from job sites and transport them to the landfill. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be willing to assist with construction tasks as needed.Responsibilities•Safely and efficiently transport demolition materials from job sites to the landfill•Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment•Support the construction team with various tasks, including but not limited to, site preparation, material handling, and cleanup•Maintain a clean and organized work environment•Follow all safety protocols and company policies•Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of new products for our customers•Make delivery reports as needed•Inspect orders before and after unloading for accurate delivery•Assure customer satisfaction by delivering an excellent customer experience•Deliver products to customers while following assigned routes and local traffic lawsQualifications•Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.•Must be proficient in driving a manual transmission (stick shift) vehicle.•Experience in delivery driving and familiarity with local routes.•Mechanical aptitude and experience with tool maintenance and repair.•Strong attention to detail and safety.•Ability to lift heavy materials and operate hand trucks or forklifts.•Excellent communication skills.•High school diploma or equivalent.•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record•Ability to operate a stick shift truck•Stong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials•Excellent time management and organizational skills•Willingness to learn and take on new tasks•Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus•Commercial driver's license (CDL) a plus•Must have graduated high school or received equivalency•Valid U.S. driver's license in your state and a clean driving record•Exhibits exceptional communication skills and time management skills•Preference for candidates with prior delivery driver or related job experience
