The DeltaV Engineer is an expert in distributed control systems (DCS) focused on optimizing and maintaining DeltaV for biotech manufacturing processes. This role involves leading automation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in DeltaV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation projects involving DeltaV DCS, managing project budgets, schedules, and execution.
- Serve as SME for DeltaV systems, providing guidance on system configuration, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering, to drive process improvements and ensure consistent product quality.
- Develop and implement automation standards and best practices for DeltaV control across manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with GxP regulations, change control, and quality oversight requirements.
- Provide support for non-conformities and assist in troubleshooting issues during production.
- Be available for after-hours support as needed to address urgent automation needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or related field) or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of direct experience in automation engineering with a focus on DeltaV DCS in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
- Proven expertise in managing automation projects and providing SME-level guidance in control systems.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
