Job DescriptionAs Demand Planner, you will serve as the focal point for Demand Planning processes for assigned business units. You will apply financial, marketing and sales data to effectively analyze and estimate future product requirements. You will plan inventory flow, analyze moderate to complex statistical data, and generate forecasting solutions. You will ensure the balance of service and working capital, utilizing Blue Yonder Demand and other legacy systems.Responsibilities: Develops Demand forecasts (operational Forecast) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function Reviews historical sales trends, researches demand drivers, prepares moderate to complex forecast data, develops statistical forecast models and evaluates forecast results Coordinates cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions Utilizes a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecast Proposes and implements solutions to improve the Demand Forecast Accuracy by Interacting with SME's to understand demand forecast drivers Conducts monthly forecast maintenance and ensuring effective product lifecycle management including DFU rationalization, NPI, Product Supersession and New Customer program set up Uses and maintains Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting tool through moderate to complex statistical forecast reviews and management of demand planning exceptions Communicates forecast and inventory estimations to management while monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies Prepares and maintains relevant reports pertaining to demand planning processQualifications: Bachelors Degree - Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field required Licenses/Certificates/Designations - Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Blue Yonder (JDA) or other leading Advanced Planning System (APS), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) 2 years of experience working within a demand planning function or Merchandising role with relevant training and/or certifications 1 years of experience with Supply Chain Planning applications, Inventory Optimization and/or Network Design (Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9, OMP, Oracle, SAP, or other leading Advanced Planning System) Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, such as SIOP -Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, and Materials Management Mathematical and statistical knowledge, able to identify and analyze complex data, evaluate patterns and techniques to develop conclusions and insights used for the decision-making processes Excellent communication and support skills and ability to explain complex concepts and analytics to non-technical audience and translate user requirements into actionable data Aptitude for working with both quantitative and qualitative data Ability to prioritize and handle many projects at once with ever shifting priorities and deadlines with ability to track and manage progress Strong in MS Excel, Access, and/or PowerBI or other Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, e.g. Tableau, or Qlik Experience with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems, particularly related to the Demand Planning processes preferred Ability to travel up to 25%Wesco International, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates ( Wesco ) provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
