- Sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials for procedures.
- Assist Dentist during dental procedures.
- Takes and records treatment information in patient records.
- Performs dental diagnostic x-rays.
- Performs prophylaxis and may perform dental sealants.
- Assist with dental clinic inventory and ordering processes.
- Provides Dental Hygiene education to patients and families.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of dental equipment, instruments and supplies, basic dental terminology
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Knowledge of dental assisting skills, organizational and planning skills, self-direction and self-motivation and human relations skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and maintain effective working relationships with others
Qualifications:Minimum- - Graduate of an approved Dental Assistant Program which includes Dental Radiology Certification
- CPR Certification
- One year experience working as a Dental Assistant
Preferred- - One or more years' experience working as a Dental Assistant
