We are committed to helping the population we serve, and our communities, achieve optimum health and enjoy the best quality of life possible.What you'll doThe Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice.* Identifies patient concerns and communicates to provider, updates patient medical history, painassessments, ID patient.* Demonstrates skills and knowledge when preparing and setting up operatory for procedures andeducating patients at the request of the provider.* Cross covers and assists front desk as needed.* Demonstrates skills and knowledge when interacting with patient and provider with clear concisecommunication.* Prepares patient for scheduled procedure.* Decontaminates instruments & equipment.* Prepares instruments for sterilization according to policies.* Reports damaged or missing instruments.* Orders and stocks supplies.* Maintains infection control standards.What we need from youEducation/Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredExperience:* Experience in the dental field, preferredLicensure/Certificates:* Certified dental assistant, preferred* BLS certification, required* CPR certification, requiredSkills:* Multi-Tasking* Self-Motivated* Attention to Detail* Patience* Accountability* Clinical Skills* Communication* Time ManagementPhysical Requirements:* Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping* Frequent grasping, hearing, reaching, repetitive motion, visual acuity* Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, seeing/monitor/computer use, walking, fit testingHazards:* Occasional chemical, radiation/radiant energy* Frequent bodily fluids/bloodborne exposureWorking Conditions:* Occasional noise, vibration, wet and/or humid, mists, odorsTravel:* Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basisTotal RewardsBassett Healthcare Network's commitment to our employees includes benefit programs carefully designed with the needs and values of all our employees in mind.
