Our team is committed to professional development and delivering the highest standard of service.Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient care, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Schedule patient appointments
- Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with front office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program
- Radiography certification (if state required)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
- Bilingual abilities
- Knowledge of dental charting and terminology
