We're looking for a full-time Dental Assistant who is driven, patient-centric, and a brand ambassador for our dental practice located in Avon, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of dentistry and a commitment to grow and innovate to best serve our patients. You'll be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials, as well as compliantly delivering procedures and protocols.

Full-Time Schedule:

  • Tuesday: 7:30AM - 5PM
  • Wednesday: 8AM - 5PM
  • Thursday: 7:30AM - 6PM
  • Friday: 8AM - 2PM

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing a safe, comforting, and welcoming exam room atmosphere
  • Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment area, position and pass instruments and materials, suction, and expose/develop radiographic studies
  • Pour, trim, and polish study casts and removable appliances
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calling for repairs
  • Capture and interpret x-rays
  • Track inventory levels, anticipate needed supplies, and verify receipt of supplies
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Diploma or certificate from an approved Dental Assistant program as accredited by CODA
  • Current CT DA license, or DANB CDA in CT, ICE & RHS Certifications
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of dental office experience (required)
  • Eaglesoft or Dentrix dental software knowledge (a plus)
