Southern Dental Alliance is looking for a Dental Assistantto join our team Southern Dental Alliance is a dental support organization affiliated with 40 practices in the Southeast The lead doctors of each practice pursue aggressive growth and offer invaluable mentoring and support The practices operate under eleven main practice identities At Southern Dental Alliance we want to be a community that people want to join We are looking for long term relationships with our teams our patients and our communities As a Dental Assistant you will ensure the Dentists are set up for success prior to interfacing with patients and during patient procedures The DA clearly communicates to Dentist the patients needsrequest and other education procedures diagnosis and treatment related matters prior to treatment The DA perform a variety of patient care office and laboratory duties in addition to performing work chair side as Dentist examines and treat patients and works proactively to ensure Dentist clinicalhygiene needs are met The DA is responsible for making patients comfortable as they are seated in the dental chair prepares patient for treatment and obtains the accurate patient dental records The DA is responsible for handing instruments and materials to Dentist and also responsible for keeping the patients mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices The DA is responsible for sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment preparing trays of instruments for dental procedures and instructing patients on postoperative and general oral health care Minimum Eligibility Requirements High school diploma or GEDMust be detail oriented and organizedMust possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressureStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and desk top publishingAbility to multi task meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work independently as well as with a teamExcellent verbal written and interpersonal skillsMust pass criminal background checkPreferred Education and Experience 1 year experience as a Dental or Medical AssistantCertified Dental AssistantUse of dentalmedical technologyAbility to connect with patientsDriven and works with a sense of urgencyHas the ability to multi taskProfessional courteous and approachable demeanorCerac ExperienceAdditional Eligibility Requirements Current CPR certificationEmployee must submit to a post offer pre employment physical examinationmedical history checkEmployee may be required to submit to an annual Tuberculosis TB and Rubella screeningWe Offer Competitive Pay and Bonus PotentialMedica Vision and Dental coverage offeredAccident Coverage & Hospital Indemnity CoveragePaid Holidays and Vacation Time 401k Life Insurance Short and Long Term DisabilityID theft protectionPet InsuranceEmployee DiscountsVSM Management LLC dba Southern Dental Alliance and all relevant Affiliates are Equal Opportunity Employers
