Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our client's team and contribute to their mission of enhancing smiles and improving oral health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including general and cosmetic dentistry.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatments, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
  • Manage dental supply inventory, ensuring adequate levels are maintained.
  • Take and process dental X-rays.
  • Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients.
  • Keep accurate patient records and update electronic health records as required.
  • Perform lab tasks under the direction of the dentist, such as making temporary crowns.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment room between procedures.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dental assisting role, ideally with exposure to cosmetic dentistry.
  • X-ray certification required.
  • Experience with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is an advantage.
  • CPR certification is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to handle dental instruments and equipment.

As a Dental Assistant you will work full-time, Monday to Thursday (8:30am-5pm) and Friday (7am-4pm). In addition to an attractive salary paying up to $35 per hour, you will enjoy benefits that include 401(k) with matching, health insurance, PTO, sick leave and bonus.
