At La Cross, smiles speak thousands of words!As aDental Assistant , you are responsible for efficiently preparing rooms & trays in our fast-paced offices, assisting the Dentist during dental procedures, & turning rooms over between procedures to provide the best patient care possible. Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions certifications are highly preferred though not required. A positive attitude, learning mentality, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast paced office are must-haves!As a Dental Assistant, you have experience with and are responsible for:Welcoming & Seating PatientsChair-side dental assisting and proper charting of treatmentTaking blood pressure and administering nitrousTray preparation for all procedures, and room turnover between proceduresTaking x-rays (PAs, Pano, FMX)Taking alginates, pouring and trimming models, and making custom trays and retainersSterilizing hand pieces and instrumentsCommunicating home-care instructions after procedures and surgeries; walking the patient to the front deskAccurately communicating treatment and any necessary follow-up appointments or instructions to the front desk staffGeneral office maintenance and organization as neededAs a La Cross Dental Assistant, you have:Dental experienceExpanded Functions experience or EF Certification is a bonus!Eaglesoft, CareStack, or similar practice management software ExperienceTime management skills: spend your time efficiently while maintaining high quality work and high standards of patient careOrganized, collaborative, desire to be part of a team working towards common goalsLa Crossemployees are committed to the organizations core values:IntegrityDo the right thing, even when it is hard.HonestyKeep your promises.
