Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to providing top-notch patient care. Key Responsibilities Patient Care and Support: Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort throughout the visit. Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments and materials. Clinical Duties: Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment. Take and develop dental X-rays as instructed by the dentist. Perform lab tasks, such as making temporary crowns or impressions. Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental practice's calendar. Maintain accurate patient records and update their medical history as needed. Order and inventory dental supplies to ensure the office runs smoothly. Patient Education: Educate patients about post-procedure care and oral hygiene practices. Answer patient questions and provide information about procedures and treatment plans. Qualifications and Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification: CPR certification. Experience: Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training available for the right candidate. Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using dental office software and tools.
