Job Description:

The Part Time Dental Assistant will be responsible for patient EDR and chair side assisting along with greeting clients and ensuring orderly flow of the daily schedule. The Dental Assistant will be located at the Health Center at Dream Catcher Plaza in Oneida, NY. Ideal candidates will have a formal education in Dental Assisting or at least 5 years of professional Dental Assistant experience.

Starting Pay Range $18.00/HR to $22.50/HR

What you will do as a Dental Assistant:

* The Dental Assistant will maintain patient information; updates records or forms, health summaries and medical information electronically or manually as needed.

* The Dental Assistant will provide set-up, breakdown, and cleaning of all dental units as well as proper barrier placement to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

* Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

* Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.

* Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental environment.

To be successful as a Dental Assistant, you'll need:

* A High school diploma or equivalent

* Formal education in Dental Assisting or at least 5 years of professional Dental Assistant experience.

* Proficiency in dental terminology, procedures, and instrumentation.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

* To commit to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a positive patient experience.

* The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

* Knowledge of dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.

* To be able to provide chairside assistance and anticipate the needs of dental provider
