Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for a Specialty Auxiliary *Dental Assistant *to join our *Short Pump* location! This position supports both the Endodontist and Periodontist. *Must have experience in dental assisting.* If you do not have experience in these specialties, we are willing to train the right candidate.Typical work hours are 8am-5pm Monday- Friday.*About Virginia Family Dentistry*Did you know Virginia Family Dentistry is dentist-owned? Although we have grown over the years, our individual offices have their own personality, pace, and style.*Role*The objective of the dental assistant is to support the clinical team while always keeping our patients' needs first. The assistant must have knowledge of dental procedures, x-ray certification, OSHA regulations, and State Board requirements. They must be willing to work in and be part of the larger team and communicate effectively with doctors, employees, and patients.*Duties*-Review the doctor's schedule daily, set up and prepare for patient appointments with needed supplies, lab cases, implants and other necessary items.-Assist doctor with procedures, help with x-rays, clean room between patients, and ensure room is stocked-Input treatment plan given by the doctor into Dentrix for the patient-Keep the schedule on time and communicate with the front desk if running behind-Bring each patient to the front desk with completed route slip and treatment plan-Maintain a lab tracking system and make sure all lab work is ready for the patients' appointment-Ensure instrument sterilization and proper infection control protocol-Help other team members by:-Working with the doctor scheduler on schedules and maintaining the unscheduled list by following up with the patients and needed treatment.-Tracking your doctors outstanding lab cases-Ordering and unpacking supplies-Help the hygienists and administrative staff as needed*Benefits*Virginia Family Dentistry's full-time employees enjoy a great benefits package including 401(k) profit sharing, dental and orthodontic care, health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, paid uniforms, vision insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, wellness benefits, continuing education, and more._*Virginia Family Dentistry is an equal opportunity employer.*_Job Type: Full-timePay: From $17.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Disability insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid orientation* Paid time off* Paid training* Referral program* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* OvertimeApplication Question(s):* Have you ever worked for Virginia Family Dentistry or W.
