Join Howard University and thrive with us! JOB PURPOSE:We are currently seeking energetic and compassionate individuals to join our dental clinics as Dental Clinical Floor Assistants. The ideal candidates will possess excellent customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to teamwork. This role is integral to providing support to our core team and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics.SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:N/ANATURE AND SCOPE: External contacts include a variety of third-party payers, healthcare organizations, students, faculty, patients, and other healthcare personnel.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Warmly welcome patients to the dental clinic and ensure their comfort during their visit.
  • Assist in preparing patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are readily available.
  • Set up and organize instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures.
  • Aid in the breakdown and cleaning of operatories between patient appointments.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of dental operatories to ensure efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Keep dental rooms well-stocked with supplies and materials.
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization following established protocols.
  • Assist in escorting patients to the check-out area after their appointments.
  • Support inventory management efforts by monitoring and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Provide assistance to the sterilization technician as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Compliance Salary Range DisclosureExpected Pay Range: $21.65 - $23.81 per hour
