In our time of Company growth, we seek a Dental Clinical Manager.

Work Location: Bradenton, FL

As part of this role, you will:

* Provides oversight and guidance to Dental Assistants (DAs) regarding their clinical operations and interaction with the business team members, involved in the selection and training of a highly functioning team

* Coordinates daily staffing schedule of DAs and works with the Dental Practice Manager (DPM) to ensure adequate coverage for the sites

* Reviews and processes requests for vacation, sick and other leaves of absence for DAs, managing attendance and call offs

* Conducts all DA evaluations, coaching and disciplining as needed

* Works with HR and the DPM to recruit, interview and select dental support

* Work with the Chief of Dentistry to establish standardized processes in dental assistant clinical organization and workflow

* Oversees and monitors the day-to-day activities of the dental assistants for all clinics, ensuring that standardized processes are followed

* Ensures compliance of all sites with the required clinical monitoring logs

* Assists in reviewing records to ensure appropriate clinical chart preparation and accuracy of documentation by dental assistants

* Work with the purchasing department, under the direction of the Chief, to streamline clinical orders and monitor usage of dental inventory

* Maintains log of clinical dental repair requests and follow-up, updating the master equipment maintenance list periodically

* Oversees monitoring logs for the dental program

* Manages the lab-tracking process of the program

* Manages training for all new dental assistants on usage of Dentrix, Dexis, and all DA functions

* Assist in the orientation, placement and supervision of students and non-provider volunteers

* Assists in the development of clinical workflow policies and procedures and monitor compliance by all dental assistants

* Verify all the supply, lab and repair inventory slips with Finance, in consultation with the CHief

* Work with the DPM to ensure appropriate communication between the clinical and administrative teams in following Pre-Authorization process

* Maintain all updated documentation on clinic information including SDS and the dental manual, as directed

* Provide oversight and ensure safety, compliance of sterilization, cleaning and maintenance of instruments and equipment. Ensure operatories and dental spaces are clean, well-stocked and functioning. Keep current on infection control procedures, OSHA guidelines and dental materials

* Monitor and perform regular site visits for support at all clinic sites

* Maintain and monitor adequate work schedules for the dental assistants

* Delegate the daily workloads and tasks fairly among dental assistants, monitor for accountability

* Holds quarterly meetings with dental assistants to discuss and gain resolution to problems in clinical service

* Ensure smooth workflow between dentists, dental assistants, and patients

* Coordinate employee breaks as necessary to minimize disruption in patient care

* Coordinate dental assistant activities as necessary during periods of downtime

* Report any incidents, clinic concerns, or changes immediately to the Chief

* Provide recommendations for improvements within the department including workflow, patient safety, Work with the Chief of Dentistry to monitor and report on quality indicators and participate in continuous dental quality improvement activities

* Attends and participates in mandatory training, staff, and safety meetings

* Provides leadership and support utilizing MCR's leadership philosophy and training

* Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, safety protocols, and Florida Board of Dentistry Rules

* Support and ensure the patient experience through office flow, surveys, patient interactions, and by utilizing the MCR Customer Service vision

* Maintain confidentiality of patient and MCR related information and materials per HIPAA laws and MCR policies/procedures

* Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to bring to this role:

* Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or at least 3 years applicable experience with expanded assistant certificate

* At least 3 years of dental management including the clinical

* At least 3 years of experience with ADA/CDT coding

* At least 3 years' experience with dental EMR systems (Dentrix preferred)

* Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency

* Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute Required
