You'll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough, dental cleanings, and help dentists with examinations and procedures. If this sounds like you, apply now!Responsibilities•Educate patients of all ages on how to take care of their teeth through good flossing and brushing twice daily•Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients' teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues•Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable and taken care of before, during, and after the examination•Perform preliminary dental examinations to get an overview of the patient's oral health history for the dentist•Advise patients on how to properly care for their teeth after a procedure or operationQualifications•Clear understanding and commitment to following HIPAA regulations and all safety guidelines•Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills•Must have at least an associate's degree in dental hygiene; bachelor's degree preferred•At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene•Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located
