B. POSITION DUTIES:
- Provides quality dental care services to patients in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice and the policies of the center.
- Reviews all medical and dental histories of patients upon initial visit to the center and thereafter as appropriate.
- Perform initial comprehensive dental examination for all patients and annually thereafter.
- Identify problems by completion of clinical and radiographic examinations.
- Coordinates onsite dental care.
- Participates in ongoing comprehensive treatment planning and review.
- When appropriate, will provide onsite acute dental and oral health interventions.
- Maintain complete thorough electronic patient medical records utilizing the eCW system and record accurate and complete progress notes.
- Utilize the eCW system effectively and maintain attestation of meaningful use .
- Ensures prompt follow-up action on patients with abnormal test results, radiographic, or physical findings.
- Completes referrals to another dental care facility or dental specialist whennecessary for service(s) not available at the center and subsequently review and implement their recommendations.
- Responsible for developing and administering high quality medical care as part of a continuous team effort to afford the most comprehensive evaluation and therapeutic plan for each patient.
- Participate in continuing Dental Education programs.
- Participate in the following committee on as needed basis:
1) Medical Advisory 2) Quality Assurance 3) Infection Control 4) Professional Peer Review
- Represent the Health Center at patient-related court hearings.
- Communicates with other dentists, physicians and team members about patient care and health.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

C. REQUIREMENTS: License in New York State Valid DEA Certificate BLS Certification Three Professional Recommendations ALL EMPLOYEES MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 in order to work at Metro Community Health Centers. Salary Range for this position: $75-$100 an hour
