You will collaborate with multiple team members, leaders, and stakeholders, participating wherever necessary to ensure smooth, efficient operations in support of our Director of Operations and the School of Education. Our ideal candidate has a wide range of applicable skills, from strong computer proficiency with office and google productivity suites to attention to detail with data entry tasks. Job Description:RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and assist the Director of Operations with all tasks, including data entry, training, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with any team or project as directed, assisting with non-specialized tasks.
- Ability to gain full knowledge of the School of Education programs offered and provide student support; answering inquiries about testing programs, provide information to current and prospective students by mail, telephone and or email
- Serve as receptionist by greeting visitors, taking messages and directing customers to the appropriate department member.
- Collaborating with our enrollment team to assist in admittance of prospective students.
- Updating sheets/logs on a daily basis.
- Analyzing all operations and forward suggestions for improvement to the Director of Operations.
- Maintain a well organized and professional office; filing, copying, mail processing and ordering supplies.
- Responsible for supervision of student workers
- Schedule office equipment for faculty.
- Operate and maintain office equipment.
- Reserve rooms for special events. Prepare for meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years of web-based technology support experience, preferably including experience with accurate data entry. Ability to type 45 wpm.
- Command of correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and produce job assignments in a timely manner.
- Positive friendly disposition and the ability to communicate and deal effectively with faculty, staff, and student
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Ability to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.
