Global manufacturer of food and drink packaging in need of a Department Manager in their forming division for its advanced manufacturing facility in their Paris, Texas location (1 hour and 45 min northeast of Dallas). Their innovative products protect on-the-go and on-the-shelf food and beverages, ensuring hygiene and safety, and help prevent food waste.Department Manager:In this role, you will contribute to company's success by coordinating team members and packaging activities and monitoring procedures and standards to achieve consistent high-quality products produced in an efficient manner.The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized and a natural leader.What you will do:- Supervise packaging team and departmental processes during the assigned shift- Coordinate and delegate daily tasks as required by the production schedule- Address minor issues as they arise and work with the production manager to resolve them- Maintain a respectful workplace by ensuring strong communication among all team members within the department and with other departments, fostering collaboration, setting a positive example for all team members, and understanding and supporting the company goals and hierarchy - Effectively translate and execute daily work orders to properly package hummus, blended dips, and sauces into retail containers and bulk bags - Coordinate setup, oversee and operate, as required, packaging machines to ensure daily work orders are fulfilled - Regularly review all departmental documentation to ensure compliance- Implement all QA or Production documentation changes and instruct team members to ensure compliance- Drives departmental commitment to food safety, food quality and employee safetyProvide recommendations for departmental program improvements and suggest projects or processing changes to reduce safety and quality risks- Master and train team members on the cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and surfaces (food contact and non-food contact) necessary to achieve food safety and quality goalsYou must have strong leadership skills, you will also be in charge of shift managers on different shifts. Monday - Friday 6am to 4pm role.Base, plus 15% bonus, benefits, and 401k.
