JOB SUMMARY/ DESCRIPTIONThe Osceola County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller is looking to onboard a highly motivated leader, who is willing to work in a culture driven by public service by empowering, leading and developing talented individuals to serve with care, commit to excellence and drive efficiencies. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Makes decisions that are rooted in service, prioritizes the well-being of all and ensures that services are delivered with empathy and a genuine interest for individual needs. Plans and organizes daily activities of direct reports. Organizes and oversees the schedules of assigned staff. Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, and activity reports. Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization's operations manual and policies. Trains and develops new employees. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Tracks and measure results, ensuring that results are consistently and measurably improved. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Flexibility to adapt to changes in standards, regulations, or organizational procedures. Proficiency in case management software, spreadsheets (such Excel), and other relevant software tools is essential for operational management. Willingness to learn new software or tools. Collaborate with colleagues in the department and other departments. Encourages and fosters organizational values within the team, between leaders and the public. Fosters empathy and trust between leaders and the public. Proactively identify areas for process improvement. Demonstrates that setbacks are not roadblocks but rather opportunities for growth and improvement. Stays updated on changes in standards and regulations.PROFESSIONAL REPRESENTATION: Acts, dresses, and behaves in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of the Clerk & Comptroller's Office. Abiding by the Clerk & Comptroller Office policies, procedures and ethical guidelines is crucial. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, law degree or related field required or equivalent combination of four (4) years' education, training and experience. Extensive knowledge of office management procedures. Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license. Must meet Clerk and Comptroller's Office testing requirements.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for long periods of time. Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion. Occasional (up to 1/3 of the work time) lifting, carrying to lift up to 15 lbs., pushing and pulling. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. There requirements may not be all inclusive.
