Supervise employees in a manufacturing and rubber processing environment; plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvement in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enforces the company's safety policy, procedures and governmental rules and regulations.
- Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
- Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
- Assist in scheduling and holding production schedules.
- Assists in root cause corrective actions
- Develops and implements continuous improvement projects through time study, delay study, layouts, and Kaizen.
- Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to the manager.
- Maintains proper inventory levels.
- Manages department priorities.
- Trains employees in all aspects of job performance.
- Ensures that employees are properly trained before making job assignments.
- Ensures that employees understand and comply to company and safety rules.
- Ensures that employees understand customer requirements, and how to achieve them.
- Is responsible for all other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Supervisory Experience in Manufacturing Industry: 5 years (Required)
- Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
- Ability to train and develop employees.
- Ability to set performance goals and measure progress towards goals.
- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
- Ability to perform quality analysis and resolutions.
- Skills in inventory management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
