Job Description:

Supervise employees in a manufacturing and rubber processing environment; plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvement in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enforces the company's safety policy, procedures and governmental rules and regulations.
  • Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Assist in scheduling and holding production schedules.
  • Assists in root cause corrective actions
  • Develops and implements continuous improvement projects through time study, delay study, layouts, and Kaizen.
  • Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to the manager.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels.
  • Manages department priorities.
  • Trains employees in all aspects of job performance.
  • Ensures that employees are properly trained before making job assignments.
  • Ensures that employees understand and comply to company and safety rules.
  • Ensures that employees understand customer requirements, and how to achieve them.
  • Is responsible for all other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Supervisory Experience in Manufacturing Industry: 5 years (Required)
  • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
  • Ability to train and develop employees.
  • Ability to set performance goals and measure progress towards goals.
  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
  • Ability to perform quality analysis and resolutions.
  • Skills in inventory management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player
