This position is contingent upon awarding the contract. Candidate will provide support functions for the operations and programs of the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at the 55 South Mitchell Street. Maxwell Air Force Base, AL, United States. 36112Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Personal and Family Readiness Coordinator with a focus on personal and family readiness activities and act as the principal military advisor for family readiness and deployment support.
  • Provide deployment assistance to mobilizing, activating, and deploying service members, DoD personnel, and their families across the four phases of deployment: pre-deployment, deployment and sustainment, re-integration, and post-deployment challenges.
  • Work closely with the FSS Commander to develop the Unit Family Care Plan program, with the responsibility for creating, updating, and monitoring Family Care Plans lying with the commander and individual Airmen and Guardians.
  • Deliver information through brochures, handouts, and classes covering all aspects of deployments, including family care plans.
  • Support members in developing family care plans by providing information and assistance upon request.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and information on upcoming events to families of deployed members.
  • Coordinate sustainment programs or activities for deployed family events on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide pre-deployment and post-deployment/reintegration briefings, utilizing AFFIRST to track deployment support and ensure accurate/timely information for all Deployers.
  • Initiate and coordinate deployment support and services with government and contractor CCEs.
  • Develop and implement emergency disaster response support plans, ensuring the creation and integration of written readiness response plans into installation operations planning for national, local emergencies, and natural disasters.
  • Track, support, and include family members not accompanying Service members on remote/dependent-restricted assignments in outreach and communication efforts.
  • Assess needs, develop, control, and disseminate appropriate education modules (courses, conferences, workshops, etc.) as required, including potential development outside existing services through contract training.
  • Manage all aspects of the Crisis Support Program, providing 24-hour on-call crisis management assistance as required by the 42 ABW or AU. Additionally, offer 24-hour on-call assistance and support for mobilizations, deployments, Evacuation Reception Centers/EFAC, evacuees during evacuations, local and national emergencies, and disaster response per DAFI 36-3009. Prepare EFAC after-action reports and inform Military and Family Readiness Division, AFPC/DPFF, of EFAC activation, providing periodic reports on services provided, following the Emergency Preparedness and Response Desk Guide.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science, or a related discipline appropriate to the position or Four years of relevant experience demonstrating knowledge equivalent to a major in behavioral or social sciences.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in serving as a Personal and Family Readiness Coordinator.
  • Knowledge and expertise in personal and family readiness activities.
  • Familiarity with deployment support in the four phases: pre-deployment, deployment and sustainment, re-integration, and post-deployment challenges.
  • Ability to provide deployment assistance to mobilizing, activating, and deploying service members, DoD personnel, and their families.
  • Collaboration with FSS Commander in developing the Unit Family Care Plan program.
  • Capability to create, update, and monitor Family Care Plans under the guidance of the commander.
  • Proficiency in delivering information (brochures, handouts, classes) covering all aspects of deployments, including family care plans.
