The New York office of Clyde & Co US LLP seeks an experienced deposition clerk to provide excellent secretarial and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently. Must have knowledge of e-Filing procedures for Federal and State Courts. Additionally, excellent spelling and proofreading skills are required.

Responsibilities Include

* Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys/paralegals

* File pleadings and other documents with state and federal courts using various means, including electronic court filing systems.

* Produce accurate documents and correspondence in a timely manner

* Calendar maintenance, such as scheduling hearings, briefing schedules, discovery deadlines, depositions, meetings, and knowledge of civil and federal court deadline filing dates, court rules, and procedures

* Calculating and inputting case related deadlines into firm's docketing program

* Maintain electronic files for client matters

* Oversee arrangements for in-house and external depositions, including booking court reporters

* Office administration duties.

* Perform other administrative duties as they arise

* Arranging times and dates for witness testimonies and coordinating with attorneys, witnesses, and court reporters.

* Ensuring all relevant case documents are prepared and accessible for attorneys and witnesses during depositions.

* Assisting with the transcription and handling of deposition transcripts, including organizing and distributing them as needed.

* Keeping meticulous records of deposition details and ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards.

Requirements

* At least 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting

* High School diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree or some college preferred)

* Superior organizational and communication skills (written and oral)

* Impressive command of grammar and punctuation

* Must have experience with iManage or equivalent document management system

* Ability to interact with clients and all levels of employees within the firm

* Proficient to advanced user of Microsoft Word and Outlook

* Proficient to advanced user of PDF programs such as Adobe, Nuance/Kofax, etc.

* Applicant must be detailed oriented and highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $88,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
