What you'll do

As a Depot Program Analyst, you are responsible for coordinating and integrating all facets of the customers' sustainment support activities. This opportunity is a unique and exciting position combining aspects of manufacturing, depot repair, industrial engineering, and inventory management! This responsibility entails working in a dynamic environment driving contract scope and interfacing cross functionally. You will coordinate with aftermarket services, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and quality teams across multiple Viasat locations to ensure sustainment support is provided to the programs and customers.

The day-to-day

You will apply your excellent leadership skills, along with your operations & supply chain prowess to ensure the repair team is meeting business objectives and continuously improving processes. You will build extensive Product Support, Supply Chain Management, and Service experience by:

  • Leading repair management activity for hardware repairs & upgrades performed at Viasat and supplier locations
  • Facilitating communication between the repair team and senior program management to ensure business needs and customer contractual requirements are continuously met
  • Managing factory repair throughput by performing capacity analysis, lean efficiency improvements, and resource planning
  • Providing repair station critical metrics and developing analytical tools for program reviews and sustainment meetings
  • Overseeing depot financial controls including the monitoring of labor and materials spend
  • Coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, quality, engineering, and reliability teams to triage and resolve issues impacting repair centers
  • Managing supply support activities, including component-level material availability and obsolescence planning
  • Responsible for compliance and control requirements including the enforcement of engineering change orders (ECOs), DPAS-rated orders, and FAA acceptance
  • Supporting the Global Logistics and After Market Service team management on projects and initiatives

Location: This position is located onsite. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams. Relocation assistance is available pending eligibility.

What you'll need

Completion of Bachelor's degree or higher between May 2023-September 2025 in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field

  • Graduate with related degree between May 2023 - September 2025
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and facilitation skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft excel and database skills
What will help you on the job
  • Previous internship or work experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with continuous process improvement methodologies such as lean six sigma
  • Experience with SQL or a similar language
Salary range$86,500.00 - $123,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $107,000.00- $145,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
