Job Description: Deputy Chief of Police

Overview: Allied Universal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Chief of Police to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for innovative recruitment strategies. As the Deputy Chief of Police, you will be responsible for supporting the Chief of Police in the administration and management of the company's security operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including NC GS 74E rule and company policing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Chief of Police in overseeing day-to-day operations, including law enforcement, community relations, and personnel management.
* Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract top-tier candidates for law enforcement positions.
* Ensure adherence to all stipulations of NC GS 74E rule and company policing policies, providing guidance and training to staff as necessary.
* Foster positive relationships with local law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders.
* Conduct regular assessments of security protocols and procedures, making recommendations for improvements.
* Utilize technology to enhance operational efficiency and communication within the department, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Winteam, ICIMS, eWarrants, and Brazos.
* Balance dual roles as both Deputy Chief of Law Enforcement and Executive Business/Client Manager, effectively addressing the needs of the department and the organization.
* Deliver compelling presentations and training sessions to various audiences, both internally and externally.
* Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic initiatives that align with the company's goals.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in law enforcement, with a focus on management and operations.
* Proven ability to utilize technology effectively in law enforcement or security settings.
* Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with a track record of engaging diverse audiences.
* Creative problem solver with a willingness to think outside the box in recruitment and operational strategies.
* Strong understanding of NC GS 74E rule and company policing regulations.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week, including different shifts as needed.
* High self-expectations regarding personal growth and a commitment to advancing departmental goals over individual interests.
