Deputy Constable-Precinct 1 - Patrol Contract

The Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constable's Office is an accredited law enforcement agency with 63 sworn personnel serving the north and northwest portions of Fort Bend County including the areas of Katy, Fulshear, Richmond, Rosenberg, Simonton and Orchard. Our patrol-contract division provides law enforcement service to contracted areas. Our mission is to partner with the community to solve problems, enforce the law and provide courteous, professional law enforcement service.

Deputy Constable - Duties:
* Patrols service area and responds to calls for service
* Enforces criminal and traffic laws
* Conducts criminal investigations
* Makes lawful arrests, writes reports, testifies in court
* Collaborates with other law enforcement, supports victims, builds relationships in the community.
Qualifications to apply:
* TCOLE Certification or currently enrolled in a TCOLE Police Academy.
* High School Diploma/GED.
* Be of good moral character.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to interact in a professional manner with the public.
* Valid driver license.
* Firearms proficiency or ability to pass firearms qualification.
SALARY RANGE: $32.94 - $41.18 hourly based on qualifications ($68,515 - $85,654 yearly)
CLOSING DATE: Upon filing position
